PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT STRUCTURE
There are two types of Programme, run by the Institute as follows;
- Certificate in Foundational Technical Analysts (CFT) – (12months)
- Chartered Technical Analysts (CTA) – (24months)
Both programmes run the same theoretical and experiential module in 12 months period, however the foundational certificate require sitting for international exams solely, leading to the candidates graduation, when all requirements of the Institute is met, while the Chartered Technical Analysts certification, require candidates to go through an extra one year research project, leading to a formal presentation of thesis to be defended before a professional technical trading council, leading to qualification awarding.
(i) CFT-Programme: aims to equip candidates strictly on a experiential studies in the business of securities trading, focusing on Over-the-counter forex & commodity trading, understanding applied trading methods with ratio of theory to practical’s per the content of the curriculum observed as 35: 65. Completion of the programme entitle student to a professional designation and a post nominal of ‘CFT’ to his or her name as an International Investment Banker in the area of forex and commodity trading technicalities.
(ii). CTA-Programme: This type of Certification, equip candidates deep into theoretical and philosophical structure of securities, focusing on Over-the-counter trading methods with the aim of securing candidates beyond the capital market professional exercise but prepared further for teaching and research jobs, not excluding technical consultancy project in Investment market with the ratio of theory to practical’s studies of the curriculum observed as 50:50. Completion of the programme entitle students to a professional designation and a post nominal of ‘CTA’ to their names as an International Investment Banker in the area of Forex, commodity and Stocks markets trading technicalities.
Both courses vary in fees charged, from time to time depending on partners partly funding conditions, as a result, need to inquire from the Programme Director or the Registrar to know the fee developments towards the entire programme completion. The BSc ( Bachelor of Science Degree (Hons) in Technical Analysts) of Investment Banking & Economics, takes a duration of 4yrs, 8 semesters to complete the entire programme under University College of Management Studies, with the programme syllabus undergoing National Accreditation review currently for approval.
MSc (Master of Science Degree (Hons) in Technical Analysts) of Investment Banking & Economics, takes a duration of 2yrs to complete the entire programme, accompanied with rigorous thesis presentation to be defended, admitted and conferred upon the qualification, which will be globally recognized by International Federation of Technical Analysts-Headquarters based in USA, and Society of Technical Analysts-UK
After graduation, candidates are admitted freely into an International society of Investment Bankers made up of Brokers, Fund managers, Assets managers, Inter-Bank currencies traders, commodity traders, stock traders, bond traders, and investors etc. to be mentored and build a vibrant experience as a growing figure in the global investment industry
